A Vision of Being a GREAT Church

What Christ says is needed to be a Great Church -

 

1. Mission of ECW Church: To be and make fully devoted followers of Christ Get God, Share Life and Give Back.

“Yet a time is coming and has now come when the true worshipers will worship the Father in the Spirit and in truth, for they are the kind of worshipers the Father seeks. God is spirit, and his worshipers must worship in the Spirit and in truth.” John 4:23-24

 

2. Vision of ECW Church: Fulfillment the Great Commission in the Spirit of the Great Commandments.

 

Great Commission: “Then Jesus came to them and said, ‘All authority in heaven and on earth has been given to me. Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you. And surely I am with you always, to the very end of the age.’” Matthew 28:18-20

 

Great Commandments: “Jesus replied: ‘Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind. This is the first and greatest commandment. And the second is like it: Love your neighbor as yourself. All the Law and the Prophets hang on these two commandments.’” Matthew 22:37-40

 

3. Values Needed and Applied for ECW to be a GREAT Church:

Growth through evangelism and outreach. Luke 14:23

Reproduce through discipleship. Matthew 11:29a

Equip to serve as servants, leaders and teams. Ephesians 4:12

Assimilate into community of church. Acts 2:47

Teach relevance of Christ in an atmosphere of worship. Acts 5:42
