C.A.R.E. (Compassion through Action, Resources & Encouragement) Ministry is a way we put our faith to action by reaching out to those in need. CARE Ministry is for those people who do not have a support group to help during difficult times. Whether illness or death or transportation need, we are called to care for one another. “A new commandment I give you, love one another; as I have loved you, that you also love one another. By this all will know you are My disciples, if you have love for one another.”
Volunteer Opportunities
1. Provide Meals: Cook and deliver a hot meal for families who have experienced a hospital stay or have an extended illness. By preparing a meal for a family during a difficult time, you can bless them by giving them one less thing to worry about.
2. Weekday home and hospital visitation: Make a difference and lift the spirit of a person who is in the hospital or unable to leave their home. Give them the gift of your company. This is a great way to extend the love and compassion of Jesus.
3. Night & weekend hospital visitation: Make a difference and lift the spirit of a person who is in the hospital or unable to leave their home. Give them the gift of your company. This is a great way to extend the love and compassion of Jesus.
4. Provide transportation: Are you available to help someone with transportation? Can you help get someone to a doctor’s appointment or to the grocery store? This is a simple but practical way to help someone in need.
5. Sent notes or Cards: Write a note to someone who is dealing with an illness, recovering or experienced the loss of a loved one. The church will provide the cards and the postage.
