Everyone needs a place to belong. Ephesians 2:19 says, “You are members of God’s very own family…and you belong in God’s household with every other Christian.” (LB) Whether you are trying to understand who God is, or you are a “seasoned” believer, ECW is a family that you become a part of when you attend.
We live in an increasingly isolated world. Belonging to something bigger than us helps to give us identity. It not only confirms who we are, but whose we are. We all choose to belong to something and this choice says a lot about what is important to us.
If you are interested in belonging, you have many ways to do this:
Formal membership allows you to have a say in what happens at the church. This allows you to vote for who serves on the Local Church Board as well vote on the annual church budget. If you are interested in membership, it is part of our Next Step class which is offered in the Spring and the Fall of each year.
ECW operates under the authority of the Senior Pastor who oversees the Local Board of Administration (LBA). The LBA members have been in voted by church members during our Annual Local Church Conference in May.
